Awesome espresso. They also offer single origin coffees on a variety of brew methods (Aeropress, Chemex, V60, etc) and nitro cold brew on their slow bar. Didn't try the food but it looked delicious!

This coffee shop has the coziest and homiest place in the city. They have the finest and aromatic coffee beans than any other coffee shop. It is our daily routine to drop by and have a sip before going to work and have our morning coffee. I love the smell of the coffee before sipping. I tried yesterday their Kashmiri Chai, the best!

So glad I found this spot! Just as cute as the smaller ipsento 606. Great selection and lots of quiet space in the back to work. A little bit out of the way from busier Milwaukee/Armitage but a short walk from Western blue line. Don't miss the huge selection of tacos in a two block radius as wellThe back area is very secluded and great for working or comfy chairs for reading. Great tea coffee selection and pastries. A good assortment of meals as well, along with nearby restaurants. Small outside. Big inside!

Knowing that this brilliant coffee shop exists made me giddy with excitement! You can never blame me for being a coffee-lover! The best ever! This coffee shop is indeed a great place to relax and have a cup of coffee. The pastries are also the best here, and the staffs are amazing too. This is my absolute favorite coffee shop in the city and the Ipsento latte is a LIFE CHANGER! Can't wait to be drinking it all summer once they are re-open!!!!!

Came in on a busy Saturday morning but the staff was still friendly and the food and brew was amazing. The sandwiches are substantial and almost worth splitting. Croissants are soft and buttery, but look towards the right side of the register to save some money (50%) on day old pastries. Coffee was fantastic and not bitter or burnt what so ever. Would recommend for a small coffee shop experience. Skip the shops imported from LA and such and come here.

Very good chai and service with nice atmosphere. Also had the namesake drink, the Ipsento, which was OK. There are a couple small rooms in the back with extra seating. In a cool neighborhood as well if you want to walk around.

This place has definitely lived up to my expectations. The coffee was full-flavored delicious. It feels very cozy and quaint once you step inside.

For a long time, the service at this place was really outstanding. The staff was always very friendly. Since the ownership change it has consistently been the opposite. The staff only seems happy when joking with each other and annoyed that any customer might interrupt that. I'll probably avoid visits here for that reason.

My very conservative friend described this place as "unusual and bizarre" (the place has an authentic Hippie vibe and a youngish crowd). That being said. We happily sat there for nearly 4 hours enjoying coffee, chai tea and toast Nd jam while getting her Christmas cards done.

Pricy, hipster. Drip coffee wasn't a good. Great place to hang out in the back.

The original shop on Western is small cozy and quirky. A great and friendly staff that can offer suggestions if you are unsure but have an idea of what you are looking for. The shop on Milwaukee off the 606 is bigger and trendier, it also offers liquor.

I do thoroughly enjoy their standard fine roasted black coffee—but it’s hard to decline such a decadent and tasty latte!

Great coffee shop! Friendly staff, super delicious cofee (I highly recommend the Nutella), and fresh-made sandwiches (try the F. Scott Fitzgerald). Music, comfy seating...everything you want in a coffee shop.

Every time I come here, I wonder why I don't more often! Their coffee is SOOOOO GOOD and the croissant sandwiches are to die for. Oh my gosh. I don't always go out for coffee, but this place always makes me so glad that I did.

Ipsento pulls off unusual coffee drinks really well. The Ipsento, their namesake drink, is a latte made with espresso, cow milk, coconut milk, and cayenne. None of their beverages are overly sweet. This is the rare place where I almost always order something besides plain espresso because I like just about everything on the menu. They will customize the type of milk if requested (cow, soy, almond, coconut).Sandwiches are made to order, and excellent. Savory and sweet are both available. Their pastries come from Floriole Bakery, which is bold enough to make a buckwheat scone (crumbly, but a personal favorite). There's a right amount of food for whatever your appetite is.Ipsento can be quite slow to fill your order, particularly if you order a sandwich, so I wouldn't recommend stopping if you're running late. But the flavorfulness and freshness of food and drink are hard to match. This is my go-to coffee place in all of Chicago.

This is a great coffee shop. Coffee pours whatever I get are always good. Great atmosphere. Downside is that it can get busy with people hanging out for long periods of time. Donuts small and overpriced.

I've only been here once and I feel five stars is an appropriate score. I had the Nutella hot late and it was so well done I didn't add anything into it. I never do that. I'm not a big coffee drinker so I was really impressed.

Ipsento might be one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. They’re a bit slower than your run of the mill coffee shop but the quality is truly unmatched. It’s also a super cozy and cute spot. Try their breakfast sandwiches! They are so so tasty!

Very interesting place for coffee lovers! I have been buying their cafe late and red velvet cake since last year. Well-made coffee drinks and quick service. As a bonus, they have a ton of milk alternative options, instead of just one or two like Intelligensia. It's a shame the Starbucks opened down the street, because a lot of people will never get to discover this place

If you are looking for a cozy and chill environment, Ipsento is your go to! I honestly fell in love with that place and will make sure to visit very often! They are super original and don't let me get started with the coffee cups! I am a huge fan of mugs and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I just really needed to share about how great this place is. I spent about 2 hours or more typing up a paper and it was just the perfect place to do so. I recommend you visit this place ASAP! MUCH NEEDED FOR COFFEE LOVERS :) And trust me, they have great music as well.

simply, best coffee in town. first time i came there was a huge coffee roaster just as you walk in! i remember thinking to myself—these people are my kind of crazy! what’s amazing is that years and second location on 606 later, the quality is not compromised. the staff are friendly in a way that is pleasant—you know, like they are happy and grateful to see you, not like someone is whopping them into frantic capitalist joy. the owner makes sure to keep people moving professionally within the company.with so many local businesses to support, this is definitely the one worth it.

I got into coffee because of Ipsento. The first time I tried the signature "Ipsento" I fell in love with the perfect alchemy that is the balance and Interplay between coffee, honey, cayanne pepper and milk of choice. The atmosphere is relaxed and feels like home. I've tried nearly everything on the menu, from pour over coffee, tea, food, pastries..etc. and I'm seldom disappointed. The only times I've been left unhappy were the rare times when there is a staff change and a novice barista makes the latte incorrectly, which, is quickly remade correctly and used as a learning experience which I can appreciate. This place is a staple among the Chicago coffee scene and is easily the best coffee shop in the Midwest.

Go to the one on Western, it is somewhat old and interesting with 2nd sitting room uo the stairs. The one on Milwaukee is new not as unque but it is good

They also serve drinks quickly and did their best to respond to all of their customer's needs. The overall service was very satisfying and the price was very affordable. Best chai tea latte I've ever had! Wonderful upstairs area - nice and quiet, I got a couple of hours work in. Can't wait to go back.
